How to Play Noillirk With Friends: Multiplayer Rooms and Private Codes
Noillirk's multiplayer, Climb Together, puts up to 30 people on the same prompt at the same moment. How the public rooms work, how to make a private room for friends, how scoring and the leaderboard work, and how to run a game night with it.
Introduction
Noillirk is good alone and better with people. Its multiplayer, Climb Together, puts everyone in a room on the same prompt at the same moment, against the same clock, and then shows every answer side by side. There is no host, no download and nothing to sign up for.
To get there, open Noillirk and press Play multiplayer on the start screen.
The Lobby
The lobby lists the live rooms with how many people are in each, and a count of everyone playing right now.
- Your name is filled in for you with a random one. Type your own, or press Shuffle for another. It is the name the room and the leaderboard show.
- Rooms lists the public rooms. Press Join on any of them.
- Leaderboard shows the highest sittings.
- Join a private room takes a friend's six-digit code.

Public Rooms
Public rooms come in six lengths, each with a name of its own. At the standard 15 seconds a prompt:
- Quick Hop: 5 prompts, about 2 minutes a climb.
- Open Sky: 7 prompts, the length of a classic climb, about 3 minutes.
- High Climb: 10 prompts, about 4 minutes.
- The Long Haul: 15 prompts, about 6 minutes.
- Stratosphere: 25 prompts, about 10 minutes.
- The Marathon: 50 prompts, about 19 minutes.
Players can open rooms with anything from 5 to 60 seconds a prompt, so you will also see rooms like High Climb · 23 sec. Each room holds 30 players, and when every room of one kind is full the lobby opens another rather than turning you away.
A room never stops. Its clock keeps running whether you are there or not, so you join a climb already under way, and when a climb ends the next one starts by itself. Join or leave whenever you like.
Make a Private Room for Friends
- In the lobby, press Create a room.
- Choose how many prompts each climb has (5, 7, 10, 15, 25 or 50) and set the time to guess with the slider, from 5 to 60 seconds.
- Under Who can join, choose Private.
- Share the room's six-digit code, or its invite link. Friends type the code into Join a private room, or simply open the link.
A private room never appears on the public list. It stays open while anyone is in it, and its invite link keeps working: if everyone leaves and someone opens the link later, the room opens again under the same code.

How a Prompt Plays in a Room
Every prompt runs on one clock for the whole room: three seconds to read it, the time to answer, then a five-second reveal. In the reveal you see every player's answer and how high it lifted them. After the last prompt the room shows the standings for fifteen seconds, and the next climb begins.
Scoring is the same as in a solo climb: the same six tiers, from Grounded's 4 points to Sky High's 100, and your altitude is your score. There is no bonus for answering fast. Time only breaks a tie. If an answer is turned away, you can type another while the clock runs, exactly as you would alone. Our guide to how to play Noillirk covers the tiers and the judge in full.
Your Altitude Keeps Climbing
A sitting is one stay in a room, however many climbs it covers. With the room panel's Infinite map switch on, as it is to begin with, each climb starts where your last one ended, so a long sitting can carry you through space and on into the zones past the Last Light. Turn it off and every climb restarts at the pond. Here is every zone, and the points each one takes.
A sitting that climbs more than 1,000 points, about ten Sky High answers' worth, goes on the leaderboard under your name.
Chat, Emotes and Your Look
Each room has a chat beside the climb, and a line that trips the language filter is never sent. Over the answer box sits an emote bar with four emotes everyone has, Hehehe, Waaah, Nice one and Grrr, plus any you buy. An emote pops up over your krill for the whole room to see. In a room they are silent, and you can mute everyone else's from the room panel.
Whatever avatar you wear from the Noillirk shop is what the room sees you climb as, and it shows beside your name on the leaderboard too.
Running a Game Night With It
Climb Together works well for a group: everyone on their own phone in one private room, or a single shared screen with the whole table arguing over each answer. Seven prompts at 15 seconds is a short round; ten at 30 seconds suits a table that likes to argue. For a full Family Feud style evening with teams, see how to play a survey game online with friends.
